Why Hazclear

Every credential we hold is current, verifiable and relevant to the work we deliver

Fully Licensed

We hold a WorkSafe Asbestos Assessor Licence, Class A and Class B removal licences and an Environmental Authority — coordinating the asbestos project lifecycle from assessment and licensed removal through to independent verification, regulated-waste transport and documented disposal at authorised facilities.

Fully Insured

We carry $20 million public liability, asbestos liability and professional indemnity insurance, covering both our physical works on site and the assessment advice and reporting our clients rely on.

ISO 45001 Certified

Our safety management system is certified to ISO 45001, ensuring documented processes for risk management, quality control and continuous improvement across every project we deliver.

Audit-Ready Documentation

We produce complete project records from start to finish — inspection reports, laboratory results, registers, control plans, clearance certificates, disposal dockets and waste tracking certificates.

Assessment & Removal – Two Distinct Functions

Asbestos work in Queensland involves two separate functions, each governed by different licences and standards. Where Queensland legislation requires independent verification, that role is kept outside the removal business — protecting clients from conflict-of-interest risk.

Assessment & Verification

Hazclear provides asbestos assessment alongside licensed removal. Where legislation requires independence — including Class A air monitoring, clearance inspection and certification — the work is undertaken by an independent licensed asbestos assessor who is not involved in Hazclear’s removal business for that project. Our assessors handle sampling, NATA laboratory analysis, refurbishment and demolition surveys, air monitoring and clearance inspections — all documented to regulator-ready standard.

Removal & Remediation

Hazclear holds both Class A and Class B asbestos removal licences. We deliver friable removal under negative pressure, bonded removal across commercial and residential sites, and soil remediation under the ASC NEPM 2013 framework — backed by regulated waste handling.

Our Waste Management Process

  • We classify all waste according to type, category and the relevant Schedule 9 thresholds
  • We ensure all regulated waste is double-wrapped, labelled and contained to the required standards before it leaves site
  • We coordinate transport through our supply chain of licensed ERA 57 regulated waste carriers with full waste tracking

Our Documentation & Closeout Process

  • We complete all waste tracking certificates and submit tracking data to the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation (DETSI)
  • We dispose of all material at facilities licensed to accept the specific waste category
  • We compile disposal dockets, tracking records and validation results and provide them for your project file

Classification Determines the Disposal Pathway

  • Hazclear operates as an Environmental Authority holder (Licence No. PEA100505641) for the transport and disposal of regulated waste in Queensland.
  • All regulated waste is managed under the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (Qld) and the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019 (Qld).
  • Asbestos waste handling follows the How to Safely Remove Asbestos Code of Practice 2021 (Qld) and the WHS Regulation 2011 (Qld).
  • Waste is classified against Schedule 9 categories and thresholds before transport to ensure correct disposal pathways are followed.
  • Waste tracking documents the movement of all regulated waste from site to licensed receival facility as required under Part 9 of the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019.
  • Hazclear provides all waste tracking certificates, disposal dockets and closeout records so your project file is complete and audit-ready.
