About Hazclear Environmental
Hazclear Environmental is a Queensland-licensed asbestos and environmental services provider. We deliver assessment, removal, air monitoring, clearance and contaminated-land services for commercial, civil, government and residential projects across the state.
Our story
Built on years of project experience across Queensland
Hazclear Environmental was established in 2022 after years of working across asbestos, environmental and construction projects throughout Queensland. That experience has included residential renovations, commercial fit-outs, demolition projects, schools, government facilities, contaminated land and works in some of the state’s most remote communities.
Over the years, one issue became clear. Clients were often left waiting too long for answers, reports and practical advice. Projects would stall while different contractors, consultants and service providers tried to coordinate the next steps, creating unnecessary delays. At the same time, many asbestos projects were being treated as simple removal jobs when the reality was often far more complex.
Hazclear was established to close that gap. The business was built around clear communication, practical advice and giving clients direct access to the people responsible for delivering the work. From the beginning, the focus has been on building the right foundations — obtaining the appropriate licences, building strong management systems and developing trusted relationships across the asbestos, environmental and construction sectors.
Today, Hazclear delivers asbestos consulting, assessment, removal and environmental services for residential, commercial, industrial, civil and government projects across Queensland. While the business has grown steadily, we remain directly involved in every project we undertake and take pride in providing practical advice, responsive service and documentation that stands up to scrutiny.
Our record at a glance
Company overview
We work as a specialist contractor and technical advisor on projects where asbestos and contaminated materials need to be identified, managed, removed and verified to a documented standard. Our work spans the full lifecycle of an asbestos issue — from initial testing and reporting, through licensed removal, to independent clearance and waste validation — and every engagement is structured around Queensland work health and safety and environmental compliance.
Our clients include builders, project managers, developers, government departments, facility managers and property owners who need work completed correctly, documented defensibly, and delivered with minimal disruption to their programme.
Licensing and capability
Hazclear holds the licences and accreditations required to carry out asbestos and environmental work in Queensland.
This combination lets us manage both friable and bonded asbestos, regulated waste, and contaminated soil under one accountable provider.
Assessment and removal — two distinct functions
A core principle in our work is the separation of assessment from removal. Identifying and classifying a hazard, and removing it, are different functions with different obligations — and keeping them distinct protects the integrity of the result.
Assessment & verification
Where independence is required — such as clearance air monitoring and clearance inspections following friable removal — assessment is carried out by a licensed assessor independent of the removal works, with laboratory analysis by NATA-accredited laboratories.
Licensed removal
Removal is carried out under the appropriate licence class with documented controls, containment and waste handling — and verified by the independent assessment above before reoccupation, where a clearance is required.
This separation is central to a defensible compliance position, and to the confidence our clients can place in a clearance certificate.
Industries we support
We deliver across three primary sectors, each with its own priorities.
Residential
Renovations, roofing, eaves, wet areas and occupied homes, where fast, low-disruption work matters.
Our compliance approach
We treat documentation as a deliverable, not an afterthought. Every project is supported by the records that demonstrate the work was planned, controlled, completed and verified to the required standard — including removal control plans, safe work method statements, waste tracking and disposal records, and clearance documentation where applicable. The objective is simple: work that stands up to scrutiny from a regulator, an auditor or a principal contractor.
Project delivery model
We deliver projects through a combination of in-house licensed teams and an established network of NATA-accredited laboratories, independent licensed assessors and specialist subcontractors. This model lets us scale to the requirements of each project — from a single residential removal to a staged commercial or civil programme — while maintaining a single point of accountability for compliance and documentation.
